What we look at, and why.

01

Finishes

Flooring, paint, and cabinetry shape how a space feels day to day. Choose durable materials suited to how each room is used, and confirm lead times early so they do not hold up the schedule.

02

Plumbing fixtures

Faucets, toilets, and showers should match the rough-in locations shown on the plans. Check flow and fit requirements for your jurisdiction before ordering.

03

Lighting

Plan for a mix of general, task, and accent lighting in each room. Fixture type and placement can affect energy code compliance, so review them against the plans first.

04

Tile

Consider where the tile will be used, such as floors, wet areas, or backsplashes, and choose a suitable slip resistance and finish. Order a little extra to allow for cuts and future repairs.

05

Solar and energy

Requirements vary by jurisdiction, so it helps to confirm them early in planning. The system is designed and installed by a qualified solar contractor.

06

Appliances

Confirm dimensions, clearances, and utility connections before you commit, since they affect cabinetry and the layout. Ventilation and electrical or gas requirements should be reviewed with the plans.
